BIPOC course

Ashiatsu Level 1

July 28 - 30 2024

It is my desire to support equity and justice by making our advanced training modality of ashiatsu more accessible to Black/Indigenous people of color {BIPOC} with special offerings of significant scholarship savings on our flagship ashiatsu training.

In service to our goal of being active in helping repair and restore lost equity and socio-economic justice due to systemic racism and generational inequality, Carolina DeepFeet is setting aside these particular training dates for self-identified BIPOC individuals.

We do not assume that BIPOC individuals do not have access to wealth—these reparations are offered with an attempt at integrity and a prayer for collective liberation.  We would like to ask that these particular trainings be reserved for the intended audience, and we ask other interested parties to consider other options if funding is an issue.

I, Brady Preyss as the sole owner of Carolina DeepFeet LLC, would also like to add some information for those coming to this page looking for an explanation on why a business would choose to do this. I also understand that some people have feelings of aversion about this offer. In hopes of helping create understanding I am linking an article that offers lots of information on the importance of reparations as part of our movement toward true equality and opportunity for EVERYONE in this county. If you would like to discuss the topic feel free to send me an email to start a dialogue.

Exploring the Path To Reparative Justice in America

Also, for those of us who work in the healing arts realm, I suggest this podcast episode from The Thinking Practitioner that features Benny Vaughn who is an iconic figure in the massage therapy world. The podcast dives into Benny’s experiences as an African American in the massage world and speaks to opportunities for all of us to work toward racial justice.
